USMT’s success lies with their people who average 25 years of experience. From scraping to painting to fitting, nothing yet replaces a well trained technical workforce. Our technicians not only use state-of-the-art tools and systems, but have learned over the years to work together in a rational and systematic way that ultimately exceeds customers expectations.
ScrapingFew companies master the art of scraping. Without it, it is impossible to establish precise geometry of critical surfaces. USMT expert technicians use a chisel-like tool to remove minute amounts of material. Using this technique, USMT craftsmen reach the highest possible precision surfaces. |
AssemblyCritical to reliable machine operation, USMT fitting technicians meet low-tolerance clearance requirements while providing maximum stiffness and specification compliances |
![]() RecontrolUSMT has the expertise to “Re-control” machines by removing troublesome or obsolete control systems and installing new computerized numerical control (CNC) systems and digital servo systems. The end result drastically improves machine downtime, provides additional machine capabilities, increases operator efficiency and generates better quality parts. |
![]() PaintingPainting is another manual process that, if not done properly, will impact machine life and efficiency. USMT has refined, over the years, a process where loose and peeling paint is sanded down to good paint or bare metal and feather-edge sanded. Casting voids are filled and sanded smooth. All normally painted surfaces are sprayed with oil and coolant resistant epoxy hardened primer, allowed to cure and then finished by spraying with oil and coolant resistant epoxy hardened paint per the customer’s specifications. |
